Web. Here's how I just simulated a TCP connection timeout: > nc -v 184.108.40.206 12345 nc: connect to 220.127.116.11 port 12345 (tcp) failed: Connection timed out If I try it against a local non existent IP, ARP times out and I get a connection failed instead: > nc -v 192.168.x.y 12345 nc: connect to 192.168.x.y port 12345 (tcp) failed: No route to host Allen Jame.
Dec 15, 2000 · I need to configure timeout interval for TCP connection under Solaris 7. I have found a possibility to set this timeout using ndd utility: ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_close_wait_interval 30000 This should decrease the timeout to 30 seconds, but it has no effect. Does anyone have another solution? Thanks. Welcome! It looks like you're new here..
